Gather manipulatives that have letters on them and place into a small bag.

With your small group, explain that you will shake the bag of letters and each child will pick one.

Once they pick a letter, show it to the group and discuss:

· What letter is this?

· What sound/sounds does this letter make?

· Can you search the room for one object that starts with this letter? Bring it back to us!
